Biography
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years. During those 25 years I have worked in medical-surgical, inpatient and outpatient oncology, State and Federal regulatory agencies, and nursing academia. I am actively involved in several professional nursing organizations, including the Epidemiologists and Preventionists in Infection Control (EPIC) and the Association of Black Nursing Faculty, Inc. (ABNF). Additionally, I serve as the Secretary for the Oncology Nurses of Central Oklahoma (ONCO), a local chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and as President of the Beta Delta at-large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). Outside of my professional life, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. A fun fact about me is that I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville completely debt-free, thanks to securing over $16,000 in scholarships.
